This is not a soft close toilet seat.
This toilet seat is not soft close. Chose to spend £20 more on the soft close version but it does not soft close. Very disappointing and poor value for money.

Soft Close Toilet Seat
This is advertised as a soft close toilet seat, well its not and is exceptionally expensive for the product. If it hadn't been for the fact that my partner has already fitted it I would be returning it. Waste of money for what is advertised, shame on you Amazon.

The correct seat for my Armitage Shanks toilet .
Slightly different shape to the original but fitted fine.Made of a more “brittle “ plastic however and I sat on the lid and it split in two.I sat on the original lid every day still do on the others with no problems.Got a refund no problem but I’ll try another make as I can’t recommend this .

Went for a seat that matched the make of the bowl so we could be sure it would fit perfectly
Perfect fit for the bowl better than cheap ones that we have had trouble with fitting properly well worth paying the extra

Not a soft close seat
This product is relatively easily installed. It is rather lightweight and not sturdy looking. My main gripe is that it is NOT a soft-close lid as advertised. Such plain deception is disappointing from an established company like Ideal Standard and Amazon UK for stocking it
