For what this RC car costs it really performs
I was hesitant about purchase as many claimed that the car was not fast. I disagree, it is plenty fast and fun to drive. I have not run the drift tires and rims that it came with. I installed some cheaper rims and rubber tires. Well it still drifts pretty well with the higher grip tires. I’ll eventually put a brushless ESC and motor in it. I was disappointed that the car only came with a NiMH battery. I have not had one of these for quite awhile. I decided to change the battery connector on the car to accept a 5 Amp 2S battery and the performance was very noticeable and some increase in speed. Fun entry level RC drift/road car for a great price. Also, love the remote control, good quality. Only wish it had a speed adjustment so younger kids could drive it.

Brilliant
The media could not be loaded. This car comes ready to go right out the box I got the blue one by the way and I'm feeling it this car is so much fun an for under two hundred bux its a steal. The quality is excellent the car and the mechanics are proper and it runs very smooth. Its a drift car so its not necessarily fast but thats okay your drifting with it not participating in a traditional race. Redcat has one thats a competition level car for another two hundred bux but I'm not competing with anyone so this one is just fine for someone like me. I'm still learning how to drift and this seems to be the right car for that. A painted surface seems to be a good surface to run the car on with drift wheels it should'n't wear them down too quickly and R/C is a good company so replacement parts are a sinch to get if needed.

First on road and it's a blast!
Great rc overall! Had a blast getting the drift down. Was my first run and was night so cant wait to run in daylight. First on road rc but seems to be built really well and cant wait to run my 2s lipo in it...hopefully get alittle more zip. Also bought a set of rubbers with white rims...not to mention I think give the car a whole new look. Also car seems to be easily upgradeable. I kno its early so I'll update in a few weeks. That being said definitely cant knock it and worth the money.

This is a great quality drift car for the money.
I really like that this is a great low-cost RC drift car for the money. It is easy for a beginner to drift this car once you get the concept of how to drift an RC car. The suspension arms, etc. are plastic but Redcat does make an aluminum parts hop up kit which even though I haven't yet, I would highly recommend getting as the plastic will eventually wear out and the plastic body posts it comes with for securing the body are a bit flimsy. It is basically a clone platform to the more expensive Team Associated TC line of drift RC cars except for having a slightly shorter frame from the research I have done about this car and people have even used Team Associated parts on it to get it into the sanctioned custom drift events as their rules state Team Associated parts must be used in the custom build. I gave it a 5 star overall review because it does drift well on asphalt stock for the price. I would go with softer rubber treaded drift tires as the harder tires it comes with are a bit too slick for perfectly controlled drifts as the motor has pretty good power. When it goes off into the grass, I have to help it out because the hard tires barely have any grip. However, when I keep tight, quick steering and accelerating intervals, it can be drifting magic.

Great Rc Car
Well this is a Great Rc it is quality I’m sure I will own for a long time, But ….. The description is a bit off on Amazon and even on the Redcat Website. This Model comes with a 540 27t not the 550 19t it has in the product description. Also you will have a much better time on Lipo 2s rather than the included battery pack, just remember to switch the Esc jumper, and follow the instructions included in the box. Road Tires are a must in Street if your gonna use it as a road car. This is more of a RC Road / Drift Car with a bit extra as it has no gyro. It is very versatile. Parts are very commonly available for this car. Redcat is extremely underrated with their RC’s you will have a Good Time. It will handle a few 3s speed runs but it is not meant for 3s. Use 3s at your own risk. I have posted stock 2s lipo and 3s lipo speed runs out of the box. It is about 18mph on included Battery. 23/24 mph on 2s lipo and nearly 40mph on 3s but it gets very hot again not meant for it. The drifting is extremely fun as well gonna set up my own course in the drive way.You can purchase deans Plug adapters from Redcat or Amazon and 12mm Tires and wheels all at a very reasonable price. Tons Of Mods and possibility’s From Redcat As Well. Thinking of going with the HOP Up Kit next !!!

Get brushless
Body was not cut straight so the rear wheels dont sit evenly in wells.Overall the body was the only complaint I had. It split on the front lip from a pebble @30pmh.. Dislike the style anyways so I'll get a new nicer one. Original wheels are perfect for drifting, but I found a nice set of rubber wheels work beautifully as well thanks to the torque on these puppies. Increased speed a lot.Lots of high density plastic but available hop up parts in aluminum. If you plan to upgrade the motor and esc, get the brushed model. If you dont want to do that, get the brushless.

Do not buy!!!!
This car is not good. It sounds cheap when you run it and the steering is not good at all.
