Hafi Lingonberry Preserves, Imported from Sweden, 14.1 Ounces
OMG, these preserves are so delicious! After trying some lingonberry butter with my Swedish pancakes at a local restaurant I knew I had to find some jam or preserves to make my own at home. I couldn't find anything lingonberry anywhere locally however so once again I looked to Amazon and found what I needed. I've purchased this "Hafi" brand twice now and this batch tastes even better than the first. At just over 14 ounces it's a decent size jar that will last me a while and is well worth the cost. The lid is vacuum sealed and I had no leakage and the glass jar was nice and thick too. I use this not only to make butter but I put it on toast and use it in place of jelly on my peanut butter sandwiches. I know some reviewers have mentioned it being tart but it has a sweet flavor to me. Overall I really love it and I will absolutely be buying more once again when I run out... =)

Specialty item, hard to find.
This is the best jam! and hard to find. It’s a Swedish specialty, they’re mixed berries. Good price on Amazon.

• Slightly tart with an inconsistent mixture of clumpy preserves and berry juice
I'm somewhat a fan of lingonberry products and have tried several of these through Amazon shopping. Lingonberries offer an unusual tart taste treat in comparison to strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry preserves. The flavor of this product leans slightly toward the tart side of the lingonberry product spectrum. The enjoyment of tart preserves is an acquired taste, and how it is used would determine its flavor acceptability. Other lingonberry products are sweeter or strike a balance between tartness and sweetness. My one criticism of this product is its consistency. These preserves separate within the jar with berries and gel apart from the berry juice. The product requires a spoon, not a knife, to spread, and even then the watery separation of the product will result in a messy application to toast or pancakes.

Yummy
This was a very good tasting preserve! I read where it's a tradition to serve this with Swedish meatballs which is a family tradition to serve them for Christmas. Some family members put it on their lefse as well! Maybe not the healthiest condiment but what preserves are? A small amount over the holidays can't hurt right? It probably won't be the only treat we have that time of year!
