Surprised at how much I love this pump
(Wife review) I have been singing this thing's praises to my breastfeeding friends, so figured I should leave a review (which I never do!) but that's how much I love this little baby. I was tired of needing to pump only when the baby was napping because I couldn't hold her or do much at all with the traditional pump/tubes all hooked up. A lactation consultation recommended I check out a hand pump, and I seriously have used this thing ten times more than my hospital grade pump since purchasing. It definitely makes pumping with a little one easier, because there's nothing to hook up or turn on/off. If you're pumping and need to stop to tend to them, you can do so very quickly and then go back to it just as quickly. The other thing I wasn't expecting was how QUICKLY and effectively this thing extracts milk. You can hear the milk expressing (so satisfying!!) and I've timed it against my Spectra (done one boob using this and the other on Spectra), and the manual pump expressed 3x the volume in the same amount of time. It's also so packable and easy to transport. I've brought this on day trips, long car rides, etc. and pumped so quickly in the car or bathroom. I never say this, but if you're on the fence, truly do yourself a huge favor and go for it. I was shocked at how much I needed this item and didn't realize it until I incorporated it into my pumping routine!

Plug duct
After seven months of use, the Spectra pump began to malfunction, leading to inconsistent milk output. Specifically, the pump would shut off after 30 minutes, resulting in only 3 ounces expressed, and the less productive breast would yield 2 ounces in 15 minutes. This led to missed pumping sessions due to exhaustion, resulting in breast engorgement. While the Hakka initially provided some relief, it proved slow. Subsequently, a plugged duct developed, hindering milk expression. Ultimately, the decision was made to purchase the Medela Harmony pump. The Medela Harmony has proven to be a successful solution. Utilizing the Spectra pump on the less productive breast for 15 minutes while employing the Medela Harmony on the other breast yields 5 ounces in 15 minutes or less. This has resolved the plugged duct and eliminated pain. The enhanced control and faster milk expression compared to the Spectra pump and Hakka have proven to be highly beneficial.

Life SAVER for the breastfeeding or pumping Mama! ❤️
Mamas! This is an absolute necessity if you plan to breastfeed and/or pump. I never went anywhere without my Medela Harmony Hand pump during my pumping journey postpartum.I immediately started using this in the hospital when we had baby #2 to start collecting liquid gold. I continued to use this hand pump early postpartum as my go to. When my electric pumps wouldn’t completely empty me (or forgetting to charge my wearables 🤦🏼♀️), the trusty hand pump would come to the rescue! This pump has provided me much needed relief when I’ve had clogged ducts as well! The pump parts are manageable to clean. Easy to use. You will not regret having one of these for your breastfeeding/pumping journey!

Love love love!
Love love love!I recently had my first baby and received an electric wearable pump through my insurance. It ended up overstimulating me having to wear something that makes noise and vibrates multiple times a day especially during my postpartum season when hormones and moods are fluctuating so much. It made me hate pumping so much.I ordered this manual pump and it completely changed the game! It may not be as convenient as the hands free pumps but it works just as well with the correct flange inserts. And it’s so affordable!! Would recommend to any breastfeeding mom looking for a good pump.

Caution: pump seal not tight
The hand pump is very convenient when I go to the gym or when my baby only nursed on one side. I can quickly express milk to equally and efficiently empty my breast. Because I have a fast flow, I can easily express 2-3 oz from both sides with 10 mins combined. And I can control how long/strong the suction to be by long holding the handle. I would love to give a five-star review until this happened. As I was transporting from gym to home, I put the pump on my lap and it tilted with a little angle. I thought it’d be fine until I suddenly felt wet on my pants and then realized the milk leaked through the pump part. I didn’t bring the cap with me cuz I thought I wouldn’t need to and I thought the seal would be tight anyway. Got frustrated over spilled milk so I took one star off. Maybe make sure the pump also seal tight as the cap, it would be better.

Get it! I bought two.
Get the manual pump! I wish I had tried a manual pump sooner. This empties me much better than any of the electric pumps (Ameda MyaJoy, Elvie stride and Elvie stride 2). And unlike the electric pumps I have, I feel like I can stop easier if I need to tend to baby. The Medela bottles work best, but I've used narrow 4oz Dr. Brown's bottles on occasion, I just have to be more careful when screwing it on. I bought a second one to have parts so I could use it more often while the other set it drying. I've been using it for about 2 months for 1 to 3 pumps a day, it's been so helpful.
