3 different booty protection shorts
I took a big fall walking my pups....thought I would invest in some protection....Tried these 3 productsBody pro ordered a L fits well, full length hip leg protection, seems breathable, butt coverage seems to work and doesn't bother when walking decided to keep these for walking....Skating spirit XL,like the zipper feature, seems a wee bit smaller in the booty but do like the snug fit gonna use these for skiing on the hillThe pair that gets returned is the soared XL, had alotta coverage, butt felt bulky and did not leg the leg bands, over all a little bigI am a 5'6, 142 lb woman

Great!
Really great pads. Started skateboarding again at 50, needed good protection. Other pads I bought had gaps in the hip area. These pads cover the whole hip yet still have good mobility. Fit well and don't shift around while skating.

Purchased after a major ski injury
My spouse had a major ski injury and needs some help getting back to it this coming season. These shorts feel pretty good and I believe they may give him some extra protection and help him be more confident. The odd part was finding the holes on the inside of each pad. I thought it was a defect and was going to send them back for a replacement, but then noticed there were holes over each pad. In the questions section there is an answer to someone asking about them and it says that the holes are for putting the pads in and removing them. That makes sense except the holes are not finished at all which makes it look like they could be a problem in the future. Once he uses them a few times we’ll see if he wants the pads as they are, and I may try to reinforce the material or cover the holes. It would have been nice to know about the holes to begin with.As far as size goes he is 6 ft tall and weighs 185 pounds and we got a large. They fit him well, not tight, they’ll go over his long underwear and under ski pants.

Very good padded short.
These are great padded shorts for supplemental padding in contact sports. I got these for ice hockey ... mainly for the added tailbone padding. You can remove padding to customize the areas and fit you need. True to size.

Short term use.
Well for starters I have noticed people complaining of tears or holes on inside of the shorts. If you read the description the holes are designed for pad removal. Had a laugh at some pictures with patches. Now for the goods, I'm a 48 y/o snowboarder who enjoys having a tailbone. I did quite a bit of research on impact shorts and decided to go cheap, which is never good. The shorts ended up working for me with modifications. Day one, the shorts fit under the snowboard pants without much room to spare. Glad my coat was long enough to cover my bum so I didn't look like JLO. The first run I skidded out landed on my bum, success! I felt nothing, my daughter(without pads) did the same thing next to me and it almost took her out. After sitting on the lift chair, sitting anywhere in general I noticed total deflation of the butt pad. When I got home and looked at the butt pad it was thin as a piece of paper. That meant day 2 no butt pad! I had five days to go! I figured my thighs were safe so I took out the right and left lower thigh pads and combined them to form a square and insert them on top of the original butt pad. The thigh pads were denser as well, though still compressed to half the size. I only skidded on my bum one other time during the week but it was a hard and fast and they worked. My final thoughts are you get what you pay for, spend double and possibly have great protection for years to come. Go cheap and get a one time use with having to innovate a new design on the fly. I never cheap on my Mountain Bike gear and feel protected. Go with name brands, Burton, Leatt, GForm, Dainese. You will not be disappointed and won't miss the money when your confident about your gear!Go Shred Haoles!

Good protection
I wasn’t sure how well these would protect me, but I was pleasantly surprised. In my 50’s I decided to get back to skating and wanted to make sure I was well protected. Needless to say I fell a couple of times but I didn’t feel a thing. I got a large which worked perfect for wearing over my jeans. I would recommend.
