nice vise
looks great....have not used but I know these vises tend to move or come out of adjustment some times so Ive been told I will use extra clamping when using just in case

Yes sir
The media could not be loaded. Holy beef cake lol. I just received 2 of the larger 8 inch size and they must be 80lbs a piece lol. I see I will need to change up the mounting bolts to fit beacuse they are for a larger slotted mill table but should be able to hold down the house with these things . # Side note I have used 1/2 inch carriage bolts on the smaller tables , the square on the head is big enuff to lock Into the grove to stop the bolt from spinning when tightening and you only need to grind a tiny bit on the button head so they fit the slot.

Works great!
The media could not be loaded. The only issue I had with this product is that it is made for a larger milling machine than I have, so the slot guides that came with it had to be modified to fit both the vice bases and the slots on my PM728-VT milling machine. When I bought it, the delivery date was 05 FEB 2024. However, I received it 02 FEB 2024! If I had another milling machine, I'd definitely order another one without hesitation! I would like to see this manufacturer make a smaller model for shorter stock. Because this vice is 2 separate pieces, it makes it easy to lock down long parts in the direction of travel! I REALLY love this thing, if ya couldn't tell! 10/10!

Too cheap to be any good, BUT IT IS!!!!
Damn good value although you may have to re-machine the T-Nuts to fit your mill like I did.

Works well just as planned!
I work for a high-quality door machinery builder in Melbourne Florida. Some of the manufactured parts made in our precision machine shop are too long to machine side threads into parts that are too long to be performed in the CNC machines. We have a manual Bridgeport mill dedicated for these operations now. We purchased this eight-inch-wide separated vise allowing us to perform these operations with ease and accuracy. Designed and built the aluminum fixture plate out of 2" X 8" with T-Slots on both sides, one side to mount to the angle plate, and the front side allows full slide adjustability settings for parts. I also added a Z depth rail system to loading any heavy parts extremely easy. After the build and instillation, I performed drilling and tapping operations on four jobs with quantity. My timetable study showed an 60% increase in time. This vise is just what was needed and works very well! I only wish it was made in the USA!

sent a different one
evidently CME switched factories that these came from but not the item number. they changed the ad picture after i started to ask questions about the one they sent me. the one i thought i ordered had serrated jaws and a bolt mounting kit the one i got had smooth jaws and the jaws were deeper?, no bolts. CME sent me mounting bolts that fit something large, ok thank you, but after the job was done. the wrench/handle they sent fit something else much larger not the vice they sent, i was told they would make an adjustment, this has not happened. they did offer to accept a return, i needed this vice bad for a job so i made it work.... so the vice is decent for an economy vice. it did not exactly fit my RF30 mill-drill i assume it will not fit the china knock-offs as well., i made it fit close enough to get the job out. i did not have trouble with lift but i could see this as a problem on smaller, thinner parts. i'll need to make a set of different jaws. american standard jaws will not fit or adapt. so the vice is a 3 and the transaction is a 2. use an adjustable wrench instead of the dust collector handle.

Usable
This is a usable vise for my PM 25 milling machine. You get what you pay for in most cases and this is no exception. I took it apart cleaned it. The bore for the movable jaw is terribly pitted on the bottom inside of the bore with a very rough finish on both male and female surfaces. I mean it's going to work, it's going to hold parts and for the money I suppose you can't complain too much. Would I buy it again yeah I suppose I would only because I couldn't afford to spend 500 bucks or something good. EDIT*** after two uses I can clearly and accurately state that this vice lifts your work a lot, and makes it difficult if not impossible to get accurate milling results. Not even is useful as I thought it might be
