Very useful information
Very clear explanation of how to read a candlestick chart. This is about how to read a candlestick rather than a list of promising chart patterns. Also contains guidance about successfully avoiding what would be considered positive indications but with wrong timing that will more often than not lead to a loss. Contains sanguin advice about trying to identify "chart patterns" that rings true. Very refreshing advice from an actual trader.

Good book but few things that i didn't like
It's a great book but the author leaves you hanging for more information that can only be found on his other books by same publisher. Often on the chapters, he mentions, you can do this and that, but the full list of x y z is on another book that he has written or via same publisher. You will see this like 10 times before you cross Chapter 4.This is not really an issue but really wanted to point out. This book + some googling will do you good.

I highly recommend this book to all levels of traders
I am not a seasoned stock trader; however, I have read many books on techincal analysis, have taken lessons from pros, attended many webinars, and have been studying the technical aspects of the market for about 2 years. This book covers it all and has brought confidence to my trading. I highly recommend this book to all levels of traders, there's a lot of simple principles of trading you already know, such as double top, support, resistance, etc. but there are a few gems you can still take away from reading this.I am excited to start reading Mr. Bulkowski's swing trading book next.

Must have book for investors reasonably priced.
Outstanding. I have used this authors book through many of his printings. Excellent for new investors and a handy, necessary tool for experienced one. I always keep this book near my computer when investing. A must have book that is very reasonably priced and easy to understand.

I also bought Fred McAllen's book " Charting and Technical Analysis" and I think his book is a much better beginner book
I think this should be titled, advanced chart patterns. There is a lot of detail in this book and it is hard to pull the value out of all the Phd level statistical chart analysis. I don't think you need to understand chart theory in order to make use of charts. I want techniques not a course in statistics. Tell me how to apply what you just talked about to making money. I think the information could be distilled into a much simpler approach for the layman. I also bought Fred McAllen's book " Charting and Technical Analysis" and I think his book is a much better beginner book.

Perfect book for ALL traders
This book is worth every penny. There are many details that even advanced traders can learn from. I loved the way this book is structured there are ZERO chapters that are boring or a waste of space.

Chart Patterns Help to Determine Purchase Entry Points
I do not believe that the market is a way to easy money.I do believe that hard earned money properly invested over the long term has the best chance to help one plan for retirement, pay for college, and purchase a home. You are still taking a risk. Success is not guaranteed. I use the charting primarily to help objectively determine the best points to purchase stocks when more cash can be allocated to the stock market.
