Cat Goes Fiddle-I-Fee

This book is easy to remember and my 3 year old “reads” it to me now, after two times of reading it to him. A good book for ages baby to 5yrs.

Fun to read but I like to sing the song and put a little flare in there for the kids.

The book was in good condition, but the cover was plain with no picture or words on it.

We love well-done singing books. This one's a great classic English song, with cumulative structure, building on itself as the story progresses. Some of the animal noises in the traditional song lyrics are not typical ("hen goes chimmy chuck", "pig goes griffy gruffy", and of course "cat goes fiddle-i-fee"); this amuses my kid (age 2.5) who knows the "right" sounds, though I could see some kids being annoyed by it (I have not seen such a reaction, though). The illustrations are really lovely and whimsical; I love that cat. When a friend sang a copy of this book to my toddler's playgroup, all the kids were captivated.

My kids adore this book for the pictures and for the song. Even the 2 month old baby loves it. This has to be his favorite song, as he smiles the entire way through. We read this every single day at my kids' request (ages 2 months, 2.5 years, and 5 years). If you don't know the tune, it's available on YouTube

My grandson, now 21, loved this book when he was a toddler. Got a new copy for my grand niece expected in July. I know she will be just as tickled as we were with the fun pictures and silly words.

I am a music teacher and have sung this book to and with younger students for years! I found I had lost my very well-worn original, so I was thrilled to be able to order it again for a reasonable price. It also came on the exact day promised. I'm thrilled!

I used to read this book when I was a kid and I bought it for my daughter! This book brings back good memories. A very rhythmic book!!
