This is an original replacement bulb for my Air Knight air purification system. This combined with our electrostatic air cleaner as part of our air conditioning system keeps the air "fresh". By fresh, I mean the Guardian light destroys house orders like pet and cooking odors. You can tell when the light is near the end of life because the house will begin to have odors that it normally doesn't have. I have replaced the bulb about every 18 to 20 months and the house stays fresh. It takes about 10 minutes to replace, the included instructions are not the best. When you research this type of light, you find it kills a very high percentages of virus also. This type of active filtration is used in some hospitals and health care facilities only on a much larger scale. My unit is situated in the ducting just after the A/C heat exchanger and it keeps that unit and the duct work mold free. Since using this unit ~ 10 years, both my wife and I have had virtually no colds or flu. My pulmonary Doctor highly recommended this capability to minimize sinus and allergy issues, it has worked very well for our family.
