NIMTEK New Ignition Coil Fit Stihl FS38 FS45 FS46 FS55 FS55C FC55 HL45 HS45 KM55

The OEM coil on my Stihl HS45 was labeled "4140 1300A MA-27 0390". This coil bolted right in but has a couple of minor differences 1) the wire connection is a little further away and turned 90 degrees 2) the plug wire is longer and the boot has a different angle. The original coil wire was a little too short to reach the new connector so I ended up reversing it with the "ground"- it's working fine this way. The wire looks a little sloppy due to its extra length, but doesn't create any problems. The gap was set with a business card. So far so good, I recommend.

This item did not solve my no spark issue. I should have listened to the approx 10% of reviewers who said it didn't work for them. I know I installed it properly AND I carefully checked the other components of the system, in my case meaning the wiring and cut off switch which are both fine and working. This is on a Stihl FS46 weed eater. No start, bought an entirely new carb kit from Amazon, which it was very nice. But this ignition coil does not give a spark. I should have gone to the Stihl dealer the first time rather than try one of these cheap ignition coils. Oh well, live and learn.

Uses on a Stihl trimmer. Installed fine and ran for about 15 seconds and quit. Having a new coil I looked for other reasons the trimmer did not run and wasted a lot of time. Still assuming a new coil was good I took it to a Stihl repair shop. They installed a new coil and the trimmer is running great. Unfortunately it took too long to troubleshoot and the window to return is closed. Expensive lesson learned.

the power clip was not in the same position as the OMI had difficulty connecting it.Spend the money and buy a better module

Got my strimmer to firing again. We’ll se about durability.

This part did not fit my Stilhl FS45 weed eater, it would mount but the transformer was shaped differently and could not get a good gap. Returning Item because not the same as mine that was in the fs45 weed eater.
