SmiffysSmiffy's Women's Hawaiian Seashell Bra with Cord

Used for Mermaid Man costume
My wife painted this purple for a Mermaid Man costume. They worked okay, but the paint didn't adhere super well. It would have probably worked better with a light sand or a layer of primer, but we were in a time crunch. Additionally, the strings are SLIPPERY. If you want to actually tie this on for a costume, make sure that you replace the strings because she had a difficult time keeping it tied all evening.

Worked for a mermaid costume!
These are exactly what I expected and worked for the Halloween costume I needed them for. I actually painted the shells with acrylic paint for a more realistic look and they turned out awesome. They are a hard plastic so they definitely do not mold to fit. Keep that in mind if you are bigger chested because these will not cover much. I personally wore them over a shirt but you would definitely want a bra or something else underneath if you do not want to give anyone a free show ;) I was not a fan of the white, twine like strings used to tie them on. It looked cheap to me and took away from the look I was going for, so I used metallic ribbon instead (I was a mermaid) I got a lot of compliments and these definitely tied the look together.

Exactly what I was looking for just a little $$ 4 quality
Got them obviously 2 wear as seashell bras- lol they are plenty big enough & also? The cord appears long? & made of some sort of cotton type string? No it's just plain white paracord cut & tied into knots into Very Thin peices of plastic (a little less think than a plastic spoon Bc they're pliable/bendable (Pro? Could be (w heat? Molded to fit your breast exactly?!! Con? The strings- b prepared to use bathing suit/bra straps or like I did use hemp? For a more organic natural look? I bought 2 pair I kept one in OMG so you're able 2 see how the product arrives? I'll post a picture after I've "let me artistic juices flow??" Lol (as I was told the other day... Lol (already have more ideas than I do bras (but I'm not sure if I'll purchase again Bc half the materials I immediately removed(wouldn't have been long enough around anyway(& I wear a 30C! In bra size Bc they don't make a 29"-) but the string N the middle? Between 2 shells was WAY 2 much cord?!! Easily fixed w the loose plastic para ord material- just expected a little more (as pictured @ least?) but we shall see... Hmmmm

Cute
My bra size is a 36D. I am 65 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds. This will not cover yours breast completely (maybe a C cup). There's a string that goes from the top of the shell to tie around your neck and it's enough for a taller person. There are 2 holes at the bottom of each shell and that makes the spacing of the shells adjustable. The shells can slide back and forth. I am not comfortable with the string it came with so I am going to replace it with heavy duty ribbon. I purchased this as part of a mermaid costume.

Didn't arrive in time
Didn't arrive in time for my costume party even though they said it would. Otherwise it is what it is.

Overpriced and Underwhelming
The material of this product feels cheap, and it's overpriced for what you get. There are similar items available on Amazon and other platforms at much more reasonable prices, and they come with a variety of shells. You can also be more creative and use them in different ways. Overall, this product is just too expensive considering its quality and quantity.

Simple but effective.
During CoViD-19 and working from home, I decided to wear a costume every week for our weekly video conferences to boost morale (it worked!). This one was a big hit. Here's the deal - it's a plastic seashell bra. It's not meant to be pretty or comfortable. It's simple, and it did the trick. For the price, it's fine. The string is a little flimsy, but again, it did the trick. Everyone knew what I was going for, and nobody asked, "what are you dressed up as?"

Not recommended
This piece is defiantly not for anyone with a slight chest. It’s very sharp plastic, the strings are thin and painful to have tied around you. The shells are too small for anyone with any kind of boob. I defiantly don’t recommend. I had this on long enough to see if it would work for what I needed it for, on to the next option.
