Fast Working and Effective
This stuff calms fast and is very effective. It is safe for dogs, don't spray directly on them.It smells a bit like alcohol. It's easy to use, and does not have a harsh effect. The softness of the calming is very subtle.

Not for the tip top anxious dogs.
This probably works better for dogs with a normal anxiety level, but my dog’s anxiety rivals my own, and this, combined with the Thunder shirt, meds, and about 10 other things didn’t even take the edge off her panicking. It smells kind of like ammonia, too, so not my favorite thing, especially if it doesn’t work.

Works some of the time
My dog is a rescue. Got her at 8 years. She is frightened on all the usual noises, thunder, fireworks, etc.But also has mystery panic attacks quite often. So I use this stuff and sometimes she calms right down and other times only a little bit and sometimes not at all. That in itself is a mystery.Noticed that the label has changed.I started with Adaptil. Apparently, they have partnered with Thundershirt and now it’s called Thunder- ease.To me they smell the same.

Disappointed
I purchased this item after watching the video that is available with the description of this item. The woman in the video said that the product was pleasant smelling, it is not. It smells like alcohol and is mostly made of alcohol. I went back and watched the video and realized it was for a calming spray made by the same company. It was very deceiving. Do not make the same mistake because they will not refund your money.

It does work.
I have a very active Golden Retriever who doesn't have an off switch. I spray some of this on her favorite blanket and she settles down and relaxes. Definitely worth it to have found something that calms her down.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
My dog has always been a bit nervous but the older she gets the worse it has gotten in a few situations. She’s also going partially blind and doubts herself when she’s passing through with something on her side, in front of her, or jumping. If it’s dark, it’s also really bad. She also suffers with separation anxiety because she’s left alone while I work. Thankfully she goes and hangs out with my parents two days a week but I don’t get home till after dark so jumping in the vehicle has not been easy for her, I’ve been having to carry her from the house to the car the past week-something needed to be done because she’s a medium/large dog and I’m not Hercules! Anyway, I squirted this on her collar before we left last night and it was so neat to watch this stuff actually work!!! You could see her whole demeanor change from being nervous and a bit scared to her tail wagging and a “let’s go home ma!” Pep in her step!!! This brought me so much joy and relief for her. Bonus, this is all natural and I’m not putting anything in her system. Definitely recommend. It does have a bit of an alcohol smell with you first spray it, not very pleasant but it quickly fades. I take her collar off and spray 3 squirts down her collar, let it dry for 10 minutes and put it back on her. I’m not sure why the review asks about pain, I guess it would calm them a bit if they were distressed from pain but I don’t have an issue with that.

Completely ignored, unimpressed
Unfortunately my dog didn't notice it, didn't pay any attention, completely ignored it. I'm kind of wondering about how legit this is. They use pheromones for wild cats (lions, etc) and spray it directly in their faces. The instructions with this product is that you not only can't spray it in their direction, but you have to wait 15 minutes after spraying their bed or the car seat before letting them get near it. It states that it is an irritant to the eyes as well. I wish I knew that before buying it because my dog has chronic dry eyes and takes daily prescription medication for it. Needless to say, I'm superbly disappointed. I have not yet tried it for her anxiety, but I will, just to make sure that it's not a total loss. I was expecting that my dog would show an interest in smelling the area or perhaps just lay down on or near it because she finds is appealing. That didn't happen at all. She completely ignored that spot with total disinterest. This could be something that is only effective for some dogs, but I think if it was legit pheromones that ANY dog would respond to it. At least that's what the lions did. Not that their reaction was like catnip to a cat, but if I can't get my dog to sit near it, what good is it? I think I would recommend finding out, perhaps from the vet, if true pheromones are available to purchase without a prescription. If the answer is no, then this product is a waste of money.
