Having seen on holiday with family a similar, but more industrial ice maker I was impressed. On arriving home I decided to do some research and look at getting one. Needless to say, it's a minefield. But, having read reviews, and deciding I would prefer a stainless steel version, I settled on this. My expectations were exceeded. It starts producing ice after about 6 or 7 minutes. The first batch....it makes 9 per batch....we're thin. However, once it got into it's stride, from then on, the ice 'bullets' were reasonably substantial. I decided on using store bought water, rather than tap...my choice...and emptying the basket into a freezer bag, and putting it in the fridge, between cycles. A 2 litre bottle of water produces about 2kg of ice, and takes a couple of hours. I am delighted with this unit, it's reasonable quiet, looks and feels a good quality and seems efficient.

Works great, easy to use and no noisier than a dishwasher. Ditch the scoop and just empty cubes directly into a carrier bag and hit it on your worktop after time in freezer as they initially keep their glaze and stick together. Not sure it’s cost effective to run against just buying a kg of ice but certainly handy to have. Pleased with purchase.

Absolutely love this ice maker! It’s so handy to have ice ready whenever I need it. Super easy to use, and it pumps out ice quickly. The self-cleaning function is a nice touch too. Honestly, one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I had it—now I wouldn’t be without it!

... really good. Makes ice fast and great if you do not have an integrated icemaker in your fridge. We drink a lot of water and 'need' our icecubes! :)

Makes nice, clear ice fairly quickly. 24 cubes every 15 minutes or so depending on ambient temperature.Please note, this model doesn't reward you putting ice in the water reservoir in an attempt to pre-cool the water for ice production. The water exits the dispenser as slush, labours the pump, and messes up the ice formation. You can put chilled water in with no issue, but don't put ice in. If you want thicker cubes on the first couple of batches, you can increase the time spent forming ice up to an additional 6 minutes using the controls on the front of the device.

Pretty much leave it on all the time. When it is running it can't be heard through a door and is completely silent when full.
