Robin: Tim Drake Compendium 1

Excellent Book, worth the price. Beware of page 121 for huge tear
I enjoyed the issues when they were originally published and glad to see them collected and hope to see a volume 2. This book is well worth the cost, but be prepared for a different c9ver than the one shown which I prefer. My only issue I have had with it, is that I have received my initial order and a replacement as there is a tear going just over half of page 121.

Release the second one!
Fantastic edition, so glad Dixon’s Robin run is getting the compendium treatment. I just hope they release another one like they’re doing for his Nightwing run!

Love It!!!
Managed to get this on sale for a little less then $34 and I love it! Arrived in perfect condition and within 24hrs of my order being placed. Only thing is I wish it came in hardcover especially for such a thick book but I still really like it. It also comes with a different cover then advertised which is a pet peeve of mine but I still like it. I hope there is a second one.

Nice Book, Not the Cover Shown on Amazon
It’s not the cover shown on Amazon. Nice book. I like the matte finish pages. Looks and feels vintage.

A bit difficult to get through
This compendium brings together work from a variety of writers and artists, resulting in uneven storytelling and a somewhat underwhelming reading experience. The Detective Comics issues leading up to Tim Drake’s debut as Robin were passable but lacked depth, often feeling rushed and flat.Tim’s journey is explored across three Robin miniseries. The second, Joker’s Wild, stands out as the most compelling—it delves into Tim’s internal struggles, particularly his self-doubt and imposter syndrome, in a meaningful way. The first miniseries is serviceable, laying the groundwork for recurring characters, while the third is similarly just okay.Oddly sandwiched between these arcs is a Catwoman series with little connection to Tim Drake or Robin, which felt out of place. The included Robin annual was forgettable and added little to the overall narrative. After Joker’s Wild, Tim’s character development largely stagnates, and the latter parts of the book become a bit of a slog. It seems the focus was more on filling pages than telling a tight, engaging story, leaving me ultimately disappointed.
