I ordered this because I've added a few more pieces of clothing that need ironing or steaming, and since this house doesn't really have room for a decent ironing setup short of putting the board on a bed, steaming is the way to go for me. That meant needing a good heatproof pad if I want to really get in and steam the long-storage hanging folds out of my sleeves.This works well; it slips easily over my hand and has a nice heat-reflective/nonstick surface on the cover over a thick pad that insulates my hand from the steam. The pad is large enough to come down and give some protection on the inside of the wrist, and the fingertip end is narrow enough to get inside shoulders or partway down sleeves to get them looking their best. It's stitched pretty well, though I do expect the back pocket to stretch out over time, which will make it harder to use without it twisting on the hand, but that should take at least a couple of years, and this is inexpensive enough to replace when that eventually happens.

First off- The title was slightly misleading and I thought I was also getting a handheld garment steamer. That would have made it worth it. When I opened up the package and saw this was just a mitt, I was not impressed.This product is nice in theory.... Like a lot of people, I have accidentally burned my hand as I'm trying to steam a garment, especially a sheerer material like silk. I have a larger, floor-based steamer that gets very hot. However, after using this product, it's clear that while I may occasionally burn the side of my hand, I would much rather have my fingers free while I'm steaming. I steam a lot of garments for my online sales business and I tend to move pretty fast. One hand holds the steamer handle which is attached to a long hose, while the other moves the garment around (a floor steamer typically has a large pole that extends up and on which you can hang the garment). Having a thick mitt on my free hand makes it impossible for me to hold sections of the garmet with my fingers, and adjust the collar, button placket, or pull tighter any pleats.I would suggest that the seller of this product be more transparent about what is included and consider that for just a mitt, this isn't a good value.

This Oragerju Garment Steamer Ironing Glove makes steaming clothes easier. It reduces the fear of being burned by the hot steam while trying to iron. It's thick enough to prevent the steam from touching your covered hand and the area that you slide your hand into has a finger ring that prevents the glove from sliding around while you steam. This does exactly what it was designed to do. I would recommend it to anyone who uses a steamer or iron with upright steaming.

I ordered the grey, and I'm so glad! It is the same material as my favorite ironing board cover, which reflects the heat. I use it for steaming, but I also sew, and it's great for an iron, too, when pressing small areas and bust curves, etc.Very happy and love the material!
