It connects easily. I tried it on two phones. Sound quality is good. I connected an 8ohm resistor to one channel, to use it with one speaker. The only con would be the annoying notification, but most Bluetooth boards have something similar. It would be nice if you could change that to just a tone?

The package did come with everything in the photo. My PCB came with corrosion on the USB jack and the bluetooth antenna, most likely stored in a damp/humid setting. I assumed this was new enough that it would be USB-C, but sadly it's USB-micro. There is an Asian lady that talks in broken English when you power on the device AND when the device is paired, not something I want to hear each time I use it.

Wasn’t very hard to hook this up to a controller and speaker. Very useful for making your own audio systems, or testing out existing ones.

In my opinion, this product is only good for testing and barely at that. It sounds OK when you get it to work, but otherwise, it's garbage. I was using it to prototype some small-laser-cut Bluetooth designs. I knew it wouldn't be my production build, but thought it would serve the role of testing multiple configurations for boxes and speakers until I could focus more on circuitry. However, it couldn't handle a pair of small 2" 4ohm speakers (rated at a mere 3w each) and I checked the impedance with a meter on each speaker at 3.8ohm, so within spec.The unit could not handle them without sending it into a fit, often rebooting or just spazzing out. I thought it was a power problem, so I hooked my lab-grade power supply to it and set it at 5 volts, this supply can handle 30 amps with no problem and is accurate. Yet the problem persisted with both speakers hooked up.When using only one speaker the unit was stable and the sound was decent. It pops the speakers hard on the start, it has the MOST ANNOYING Chinese lady voice announcing Bluetooth connectivity at full volume. If any manufacturer is reading this, please for the love of God, STOP putting voice announcements on these types of circuitry. NOBODY I know of wants to hear that! We need a mild deep acknowledgment beep for connection @40% volume - THATS IT!As always your mileage may vary, but this was my experience.(I'm going to try series wiring the speakers and seeing if I can bridge the channels [if it works Ill update, but I highly suspect no bridging].)

This board sounds very good. It can operate out of 3.7V lithium batteries. Unfortunately, the initial power up and the Bluetooth connection announcement is very loud and in Chinese. If I could turn it off I would keep it. But with the announcement, I decided to return. The return process was smooth. If turning off the announcement is possible, I would highly recommend to the sellers to include that information in the product description. If that can be done, I would buy this again.

There is no doc, but the connections are straightforward. You can find a little more information from the manufacturer's part number, the yx-ly909.Note that this uses the old Micro-B USB connector, not USB-C.I had a portable bluetooth speaker with a failed board. The battery and speakers were fine; the board itself had just gone wonky. I clipped and attached six wires (two each for L + R speaker, power) and moved the plug on the battery pack after confirming the pinouts matched. Easy fix for a $60 speaker. I do dislike that the lady trapped inside the board yells "Blueooth pairing" or "Bluetooth connected" when it's powered up. I wish it made a more subtle chime instead. I'd welcome a way to reprogram that.So it's a good value for a new project or a repair, but the absence of documentation and the inability to customize or quieten the yelling lady does cost it a star.
