Q: Is it convenient to clean? Especially the outside material, looks less easy to clean than the inside. Can it be washed in the dishwasher?

The inside lining can be wiped clean directly. Dirt on the outer layer can be washed clean with regular detergent. We do not recommend washing it in the dishwasher, which may compromise its insulation, preferring hand washing.

Q: Does the instead make alpt of noise?

There will be no noise, it's not a machine to work with, the insulated lunch bag is made of multi-layer material, of course you can put in ice packs, I don't recommend buying it if you need to create temperature in your lunch bag.

Q: Can this be used as an ice chest? Ice with drinks only. Probably a maximum weight question.

Yes I have had cans and icecream pints in mine all held up well for like a hour before getting home.

Q: Does the side pocket hold a water bottle well, especially if you are very active while carrying it?

It can hold a normal-sized water bottle, and the elastic straps in the side pockets will help hold items in place.
