Worked the 2nd time
Not sure what happened. Second attempt using another seal did work. Puzzled by the oil leak the first time using the same oil change procedure I've done on my Subaru for 6 years -- always tightening oil drain bolt to Subaru specification with a quality digital torque wrench. This seal is designed a little different than the OE Subaru part. Hopefully, the rest of the batch would work ok.
