REDECKER Wild Boar Bristle Half Round Hairbrush With Waxed Olive Wood Handle, 8-1/2-Inches - Natural Imported Hair Brush

I've been looking for a half-round boar bristle hair brush to replace the one I purchased 20 years ago, but no local stores have carried even plastic ones for years. This one was made in Germany. It is very well made with a hardwood handle and bristles of just the right stiffness. I love it and hope this company will still be making hairbrushes when I need to replace it many years from now.Addendum after I've been using it for months: This brush actually cleans my hair. I notice that my hair remains cleaner after a week than it used to after 2 or 3 days. Now I frequently vacuum a lot of dirt out of the brush that used to stay in my hair until shampoo-day. No other hairbrush I've ever had did such a wonderful job.This company also makes a wide assortment of brushes for a wide variety of other purposes.

I purchased two boar hair bristle brushes at the same time. The other brand has a very pretty and comfortable handle but I consistently reach for this one because it works the best for me. This is probably because I have long hair and it is half round. I was originally concerned about shape of handle being that it is almost round but have become accustomed to it and it is not a problem.

This product was purchased to replace my similar wooden handle boar bristle brush from the Fuller brush company. I have been using the Fuller brush for many decades, and had just lost my third replacement from Fuller. I was very disappointed to find out that Fuller no longer makes this half round brush. So I looked for something similar and found this. For me, the diameter of this one is a little too small, and the bristles are a bit too stiff. Otherwise, it seems to be a beautiful, well-made brush, just not like the one I was trying to replace. I really miss my Fuller brush which was perfect. But if you are looking for strong bristles, a slightly petite diameter, and a beautiful, solid wood, go for it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The bristles are not long enough, doesn’t get to my scalp. I have long medium hair

I love the handle, which is perfect for my hands, and the bristles, which are just stiff enough to get through MY thick hair all the way to the scalp...100 strokes for shine and a healthy scalp!

Bristles are a little too stiff, which requires some getting used to. Overall, I like products made with natural materials.

Nice firm bristles. Can use with thick, long, fine curly hair. A little smaller than my older brushes.
