I am restoring a 1980 pontiac firebird. The original brake bleeder screws were completely rusted, so I was borrowing an induction heater tool (which worked great by heating the screw to cherry red and then spray with freeze-off to quickly cool. Each screw took several of these heat/cool shock cycles and a good 5-point socket to remove). I wanted to complete the project in 1 day, but had no way of knowing the thread count, length, etc, until the bleeder screws are removed, so I bought this kit. In the 80s, GM used both imperial and metric bolts and screws. It turns out that the fronts were 5/16 and the rears were 10mm-1.5 thread. Note: This kit has 3 different 10mm thread sizes which is great, and it had the correct sizes that I needed.

Being I asked if this product was Stainless before ordering and they are not even I knew because I could tell from the posted pictures that these only had low cast plating common to most overseas manufacturing. I intentionally did this because - I hate sellers that misrepresented their product and play ignorance because of the supposed language barrier which no longer exists with modern communications using spell checkers and translations. Not surprising the shipping took forever.for the low cost this is exspected. There are no reasonable alternatives - other than paying nearly the same price - for just a few of the most common sizes. That is: if they are even available in the brick and mortar stores.

Some sizes leak when fully tightened. Had the thread size for the F-350 I was working on but couldn't use them.

Replaced the two bleeders on some ANCIENT brake calipers. These are perfect. I love the little rubber caps. Something about the rubber caps on the bleeders make me feel like I have my stuff together. Saved me from having to buy new calipers... for now.

Was exactly what I needed, plenty of selection.
