Purchased for my custom desktop that I use as my daily driver for all computing, work, and gaming. It's very fast and boot times with Linux are less than 5 seconds. Games load fast and copying files/transferring files onto it is very fast. I have 0 issues using it under a Linux environment and everything is good. It also goes on sale a lot so if you are wanting this wait until sales like Prime Day, Black Friday, Independence Day sales to get it for cheap. I recommend it.

Installation was simple, and the drive was immediately recognized with no compatibility issues. I was able to restore my system to it quickly and painlessly. Instalé la WD_BLACK en mi setup y la diferencia se siente desde el primer arranque. Las apps abren al instante, los juegos cargan en segundos y compilar proyectos pesados se vuelve mucho más ágil. No se calienta tanto y la transferencia de archivos grandes va volando. Por el precio, es una de las mejores inversiones que he hecho para mi PC. Rinde como una NVMe de gama alta sin tener que irse a Gen 5. Cero quejas.

I purchased this to replace the SATA system drive in my 6 yr old PC. The system had progressively gotten slower and the boot and load time was close to 10 minutes or more (sure it posts faster than that but by the time it loaded Windows and I get to a working Desktop it was painfully slow).I used Acronis True Image to back up and restore the original partitions, including the hidden system partition. Created the back up night before and then restored to new SSD next day. Took maybe 3 hours total.My boot time is now about to 1 minute.

Work well in my third computer as my C Drive with it 1TB., my other two LENOVO THINK STATION P520 only have 512 GB. Window 11 take a big chuck of that space, so 1TB is three times of free space, that can be used for other programs.

So, I bought two of these at the time, one of them is still going strong, no problems what so ever, the other one however had an issue. Now I ended up having to get a new motherboard so I think the broken one was caused by the motherboard and not the drive itself. (However the SMART data did show some errors and such but again probably caused by the board shorting rather than the drive itself)Both drives worked fast, good cost, more or less plug and play. It's just a shame that my motherboard fried one of them. Because I'm not sure if the M.2 fried the board or if the board fried the drive I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

Great drive. Windows runs in about 7 seconds power button to login with face id. Games read fast.

I'm a gamer, this SSD works extremely great for the price, good brand, it was plug and play
