Smiffys Day of the Dead Se±or Bones Costume

Great costume! Quality was good and we got so many compliments on the costume. Will need to get the wrinkles out before wearing and stuff the hat prior to wearing bc it was flattened during shipping.

This costume is awesome! The vest is a little tight and the pants are big, but I will make it work. I went with the medium size. 5' 6" 145lbs and the vest was still tight. The hat needs straightened, but nothing serious. Just how it was packaged. Still a great buy!

I am 6-1, 205, 44 chest, 36 waist, and the XL fits well, not tight and not too loose. I may have fit into a large, but it does not look too big and is comfortable to wear and dance in. I used a steamer to de-wrinkle the costume and hat. The hat took some bending (has wire in the brim) to shape up properly and the steamer took all the wrinkles out. The floppy bow tie just looked wrong so I cut the stitching (which left some sewing holes in the shirt as they used a lot of thread) removed the tie from the shirt and resewed the tie and added an elastic band to go around my neck like a regular tie. Looks much better and still hides the original sewing holes in the shirt. I also added some thin round elastic to the shirt cuffs and they look and feel better that way. If not for work required to shape the hat and correct the bow tie I would have given it 5 stars. It really does look like a much more expensive costume.

Outfit is awesome for price. Pants are a little large so plan to take in. personally, I would rather they be too big than too small. The hat will need some time to straighten out. Definitely worth the price though.

Such clothing is thin with stains when claimed to be new. The design is lovely indeed, but the hat looks like a witch hat 😂. Hat was bent all over the place when forced in bag. It’s a nice design just needs toBe better quality. Note, hat and gloves I have is from party city.

This costume looks great on. I'm so looking forward to the Halloween & Day of the Dead parties that I got it for. The shirt opens in the back, and closes with velcro patches. Open it up, slip it on, then have someone velcro you up. It's not too tight if you put it on this way. I'm 6' tall, 190 lbs, with a 33" waist. The Medium fit me perfectly. The hat has a wavy brim that looks great. With a Day of the Dead mask (purchased separately) it looks amazing! The costume doesn't come with the gloves in the photo. I'm going to get some skeleton gloves to complete the costume.

Really good costume. Actually amazing I got compliments all day. Pants were too long but nothing that a few staples can't fix for the easy quick fix.

It’s not horrible but it doesn’t stand up to the price. If you want it to look good, it takes some work. I had to make a few alterations because the pants were huge on my husband, length and waist even with elastic and the top was small. He’s athletic build so the jacket was tight on his shoulders and the vest pulled a little at the Velcro. To make it look sharp of course it’s going to come a little wrinkled, that’s expected. So I ironed it out. I hemmed the inner “lining” of the jacket to the lapel so it wouldn’t show and made the lapel sturdier. Without doing that, it would turn inside out while wearing and looked sloppy. I also hemmed the bottom of the vest so the shape of the vest wouldn’t get pulled down with the cummerbund and hemmed the bow tie up to the vest because it was so saggy and didn’t hold a shape. All easy stuff to do but for the price I guess I expected a little more. $25 might be the high end of fair for this costume. He didn’t end up wearing the sombrero. It was so warped and never regained shape no matter what we did. In the end, he got lots of compliments and it looked great.
