Q: can i leave out the inner stakes on the gate out to make the opening wider? I need it to be 48 inches wide.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, no. The rails that compose the gate are only 36" wide. You can make the opening wider by using 2 gates to make a double gate. I apologize for the inconvenience. Best regards, Russell

Q: what is the warranty for this product and the matching Madison panels? I don't want to risk paying all this money and it is too flimsy.

Q: Would this gate work with the manchester 2pack set?

It's not really designed to, but I did. The Manchester is taller so I extended the legs of the gate with some stakes I had. Was able to get it to work, but probably wouldn't recommend it.
