I'm 5'6 155lbs 36b, I want a top that stays snug around my breast but loose on the tummy. Should I get a medium or large?

I think much will depend on whether you wear cotton under the top.  I normally wear a medium but bought a small because other customers said they run large and I agree that they do.  Before I washed the shirt it hung too low under the arms and cupped the back of my pants.  The directions said not to put it in the dryer but I did and it was perfect in length and under the arms when it came out.  I'm a 38b and the top is snug around the breast and loose around the tummy yet still has plenty of length.  My best guess for you would be to buy a size smaller than you normally wear in a tank top.

Is this tank top offered in anything bigger than large? size chart says they offer xl but isn't in the drop down to choose.

I'm not sure as I ordered a large. If it helps, I'm 5'6" and 142 lbs and based in description I ordered a large the first time. These are made big and flowy though and come down past my bottom. On my next round I ordered a medium and it's still big and flowy, huge arm holes, and I layer with a sports bra or another tank top. after several washings, they still look good, no loose threads or anything.  These aren't Department store quality, but they are a step above Wal Mart. For the price, I'm pretty happy with these for a casual work out or bum around the house tank.

Does anyone have an issue with their bra straps creeping out from tank in the front or the back?

I don't have problems with the straps showing, so much as.... the SIDES of my bra showing under my armpit.  The arm opening on this T is cut very low imho.  I normally wear a Small shirt, and that's what I ordered in this T.  But when I put it on, my bra shows so much under the sides of my arm, that I simply cannot wear this T anywhere nice...even to the market...without looking like I wanted to 'purposefully' be walking around with my bra half showing, as some type of 'rebellious fashion' trend or something.  So....I definitely have to layer under this or else wear an obvious 'sports' bra.  But otherwise, this T looks totally 'sloppy' with a normal bra.
