MaxPower 334390 Air Filter and Precleanerfor Kohler Courage 32-083-03S/32-883-03S1

Worthless. Looks like the right filter and everything, but it will not fit onto the housing. Threw in garbage. Wasted money. Thanks for nothing. Why go through all the trouble of even making it so close to the right one. The cardboard box it came in was more useful and this piece of crap filter.

BUY THE KOHLER AIR FILTER. It is at least twice as much filter material as this one has. This one will work, just last half as long. You get what you pay for.

Looks the same but doesn't fit. Barely too small.

the filter looks to be well made but I had to trim off the inside to get it to fit my 27 hp Kohler V twin on my 1554 Cub Cadet other than that works good.

This filter is much too tall, and is NOT a direct replacement for an actual 32-083-03.You will be unable to close the spring latch, and even if you muscle that closed (like I did), the filter door will not close.

I ordered two of these. The filters themselves seem to be okay, but neither one came with the outside foam wrapping. If you need that part, I would look for something else.Update to previous review. I contacted Maxpower customer support about the missing pre-cleaners. I had only ordered two filters but today I received four pre-cleaners free of charge. Props to Maxpower.

I couldn't get it on so that cover would close. Measured the opening in filter and it is 5 mm smaller than the original, and about 4 mm shorter in height. At a glance, it appears identical to OEM so it sat on my shelf for 7 months before using. Now too late to return. My tractor has a 26 hp Kohler Courage SV-735 engine and the part number is 32 083 03-S, which this item is supposed to be a direct replacememnt for. Don't be duped by a product that "almost" fits. Before this I bought a 2 pack from Upstart Components that was a perfect fit. Guess I'll try them again.

Filter seems to be slightly larger than the original, and the surface is a grippy rubber that made it impossible to latch the wire bail that holds the filter in place. The opening does fit over the throat of the carburetor so it filters the air but I had to McGiver the closing latch. Would go OEM for next time.

Great for my garden tractor. However, do as I did and plan in advance, the international shipping is certainly not over night. I always order another when I replace the one in use.

Fit nice and snugly with no problems. The engine was breathing more easily right away with a clean filter installed.

And it was good quality, my old filter was really dirty I'll buy this make again.
