Its sharp enuf for a zombie but you may want to sharpen it any way. I use mine as a last resort when im trapped.Its not super sharp but you an sharpen it.

23 1/2" overall. 17 1/4" blade just as stated. I was very impressed myself with the quality. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Q: Would this be good for clearing brush while hiking?

After sharpening clearing brush would be no problem.
