Q: Can this apply on texas area sod augustine?

Others are wrong.I use this every two months.my scotts mini broadcast at 2.5 setting.my yard is thick and lush.I also have St Augustine grass.st Augustine likes water but not sitting in it for long periods.it also likes fertilizer.I found the starter applied in the spring and the southern after that the rest of the year works fantastic.Do not use bonus s fertilizer.neighbors have had terrible results with that.As Efraim said do not go by recommend settings.go by half recommend setting.I found 2.5 best on broadcast scotts spreader.also use a liquid weed killer for Augustine grass and only treat problem areas.the grass will grow in thick and choke out future weeds.also at least once a year use a fungicide.scotts disease ex works great.all my neighbors have brown spots i do not.remember here in houston we have very sandy soil so fertilizers dissipate into soil quickly.other areas may require less fertilizing intervals as soil retention may be better.

You can use a Scotts Drop Spreaders available thru amazon, that is what most folks do. I hand throw mine, but I have had years of experience and do it well. I'd say, for you, buy a spreader.

Well, I'm not sure. I had not noticed it. I am a firm believer in Scotts products . I have seen the transformation of my yard from weed forest when we bought our home to luxury lawn. So I use them every year. I do go to the manufacturer site each year to assure I am using the right products at the right time. They may provide the information you want. I then go to Amazon to buy the product.

This product from Scotts seems to be the only thing that I can rely on to fertilizer my St. Aug. lawn. I have been using Scotts for our lawn for 20 yrs. and it never failed me.

It may be the fact that I have a bag spreader but there are clumps from being stored that I will have to break up by hand or it will quit spreading evenly, if at all. Also, I believe I read on the bag or description that it won’t burn grass but I have 1 spot that I can say it definitely burned it. A 3 foot by 6 inch line and it may have been where I started off spreading and it was heavy or I don’t know but every where else has been fine and makes yard look wonderful. Only 2 reasons it didn’t get a 5 star
