The long handles provide good leverage for thick nails. The straight cutting edge as opposed to curved should work well on ingrown toenails. Unfortunately the blades show a lot of light when closed which means they do not cut properly. Do not buy this item unless you can check cutting edge alignment first.

Poor quality cut. Got 2 of the same - came in different shape of nipper part - thiker/thinner....Badly alligned - skritching when in operation.

Every few months my toenails misbehave. I've tried many ways and devices to sort them out (as well as the occasional visit to a chiropodist). I was a bit sceptical about this Candure clippers but was looking for a solution so I gave them a try. I have tough nails but these clippers soon sorted them out in combination wit the Gehwol nail softener I also purchased. What do I like about the clippers? They're well made and the points easily reach right down the side of the nail and get on with their job. Exactly what I was hoping for and now I don't dread that sore toe feeling.

Excellent clippers,which IMO are even better than the illustration,as they now have 15 decent grooves cut across both handles,which makes all the difference when it comes to grip,though they may be a touch large for very petite hands.No more clippers flying across the room and embedding themselves in either the budgie or the moggy,which is just as well,as these are very sharp,which facilitates nibbling at tough nails,rather than having to attempt an all in one cut,often with very bloody consequences.

High quality stainless steel, very sharp and pointed allowing you to get right into the corner of the nailbed for ingrowing toenails.Comes with a small wallet for srorage.Excellent service from Candure, I highly recommend them.
