Excellent fit and finish. Installation was a breeze using my factory radio. Sound is great and an awesome value.

I purchased the unit for my son’s 2010 Jeep Wrangler. We installed an after market Boss radio with apple car play and upgraded the 4 stock speakers with the Mopar kickers direct fit but the bass was lacking. This unit was perfect to finish everything off. We mounted it to the rear swing gate and after playing with the settings on the speaker/amp and radio and dampening vibrations, it sounds great and really fills up the Jeep with the perfect amount of loud bass without irritating the neighbors.

Bought this to put in my Avalanche last year as I wanted something compact that would fit under the back seat. I'm older now with kids, so I don't need two 12's and two 15's anymore just wanted something to add some low bass and compliment the upgraded head unit and door speakers. I chose MTX because I trusted their quality from many years of previous experience. I will say the unit was easy to install and gave me what I was looking for. Initially, I was impressed with the sound and happy with my purchase. That quickly took a turn. The first unit failed in less than a month. I returned it through Amazon. The return went great, Amazon stands by their return policy. Received the second and it was inoperable right out of the box. Returned it immediately. Received third unit. Hooked it up and was happy again for 10 months. It has now failed and I have returned it directly to MTX. All 3 failed units had the same issue. The unit will power up and show that it is ready to play but their will be no sound from sub, or it will rattle as if the sub is blown producing no bass. I have given each unit a break-in period as recommended and never had any of them above 75% gain. I have much experience installing and adjusting systems, and never pushed these units at all, I'm not looking for super bass, just a balanced system. I am ultimately disappointed in the quality of this unit and wish I could just get my money back to purchase a better quality sub.

In my late teens and early twenties, I would have laughed at this option. The last setup I had was a single 12 JL W7 with JL 500/1 and a pair of bass shakers under the seats. This little thing definitely won't make your heart skip a beat, nor will it blow your eardrums. But after 20 years of 100% stock equipment, and aging ears from working in a manufacturing environment, this little 8" sub puts out a nice little bump. Complimenting my stock speakers. Will it get every bass note? Absolutely not, but it isn't a competition system either so take it with grain of salt..... Bottom line, if you just want a little better sound in your car, this is a nice addition for only $200. I was fortunate enough the previous owner of my car ran power and RCA, so my "install" took all of 15 minutes. Installed in 2016 VW Passat in the trunk affixed to back of passenger side fold down seat.

I like these so much i have one in both my trucks. Easy to hook up and fit under or behind the seat. Fills in bass great. An absolute must in newer cars that you can’t easily replace the radio.

Very surprised. No room for typical subs in my truck. Powered subs used to be a waste of money, this one definitely is not. Shocking amount of sound out of such a small package.

Installed it in my 1995 Toyota Tacoma standard cab. Fit perfectly under passenger seat. The sound is awesome for me. This will not win sound competitions, but it gives a good amount of bass. I wish I would have tried this sooner.

First one I purchased only lasted 2 weeks. Luckily it was with in the return time frame. They sent me a new one and it only lasted 4 weeks. This time I’m out of the return window. JUNK JUNK JUNK
