Great for folks on a budget - also fits a wide range of mic stands
If you are looking for a budget-priced pop filter that is not total junk, this is a contender. It is identical to the Dragonpad pop filter Studio Microphone Mic Wind Screen Pop Filter, which I also own. If you are torn between the two, go for the one with the lowest price.I'm not going to lie and say that this is an amazing pop filter. It isn't. However, in the price range it is definitely good enough for home use and even light gigging, which is why I rated it so highly. If you have the budget and want a professional quality filter, look at the Auphonix 6-Inch Microphone Pop Filter. Double Mesh Screen. Otherwise, this one will meet your basic needs. The filter mesh is somewhat flimsy. It does the job and in a home studio is more than sturdy. For gigging it can easily tear if subjected to a lot of handling. The gooseneck itself is very flexible and will hold the filter in place, but will also move if jostled or bumped. Again, for a studio this is perfect. For live performances it will work, but I would invest in a sturdier pop filter like the Auphonix I mentioned above.Another reason why I rated this so highly is this will fit poles on stands up to 15/16 inch, and possibly a full inch if you fiddle with it. The clamp has a soft, felt-like material that will protect mic stands and booms. The actually contact point on the clamp has a cross shape groove with positive contact and that component is made from a hard plastic that also will not mar your stands. The gooseneck is 14.5 inches and the entire assembly is 22 inches with a 5.5 inch inside diameter pop mesh. The outside diameter of the filter is about six inches.

Above average for its value
For barely $7, you can get this pop filter to reduce the sound of plosives and protect your mic from saliva that has a gooseneck that's not floppy and actually stays in place. Would recommend.

Simple, Clean Design With One Tip
I want to control as much as I can going into the microphone rather than trying to fix it in the mix. To be honest, I didn't hear a huge difference with the pop filter, but I saw it on my playback. When the pop filter was on vs. off, I could see what looks like a slightly compressed waveform on the high end, a more consistent signal going into the microphone without any processing. I've stood in front of Marshall Double stack amps for 25 years so my hearing is probably somewhat diminished anyway. For the money, that extra bit of consistency is a no-brainer.The design is clean and seems well crafted.I'd only warn that when setting it up on a mic boom (I had no issues with connection like some others), if you feel the attachment screw has some tension and is not moving smoothly or is hard to turn, it's because it's rubbing up against the gooseneck connection to the boom connection clamp. You could conceivably strip the threads of the screw if you try to muscle through it. Just give the gooseneck --where it connects to the clamp -- a couple of turns backing it out of the clamp, attach the clamp to your boom, an then retighten the gooseneck into the connection clamp to avoid potentially stripping the screw.

A great classic and basic pop filter.
If you have a home studio and record with microphones, you need a pop filter. You may just hang it in a closet, stuff it in a drawer, leave it permanently attached to a mic stand, whatever, but you will need one. When that day comes, put this in front of whatever microphone your using for vocals and don't worry about it. That's what it's for and it performs it's job admirably. It's cheap enough that you won't complain too much when you need to replace it.

Not Fully Compatible with Blue Yeti
The blurb saying it works with the blue yeti microphone isn't 100% correct. The bottom of the blue yeti has a metal threaded female part which is supposed to connect to this pop filter's bottom threaded male part (when you unscrew it from the connector). However, it doesn't, since the threaded part for this pop filter is several times smaller than the space on the bottom on the blue yeti. JUST TO BE CLEAR: You can still clamp the connector on the end onto the base or another part of the blue yeti and make it work that way (and I have). However this is really intended for a boom mic, not the Yeti per se. Three stars for misleading advertising.

Great for PPPPPops and BBBBBooms
This item did exactly what I needed I am using a professional grade microphone and it made me bananas trying to get it to sound natural without that PUFF of air. This thing attached to my base and it really eliminated a lot of the headache I had in doing recordings and trying to minimize big sound in post. I am grateful it was so affordable and it works as one would expect!
