The difference between closed mesh on trail shoes and the mesh on road running shoes is that the mesh in the Boco AT 5 works in tandem with the gusseted tongue to prevent debris from entering the shoes and blocks out dirt. This mesh is also tough providing durability to the upper, allowing you to use these shoes time and time again. In addition, the upper uses no stitch, heat welded overlays to retain the structural integrity of the shoes as well as enhances durability. The overlays also work in concert with the lacing system to provide a more snug and comfortable fit, wrapping your foot to prevent in shoe slipping from occurring.
